Dear (hopefully) Future American Grad School..

..I realize that as an "International Applicant" I'm subjected to a whole whack of supplementary forms

but an "English Proficiency Test"?

Really?

I'm Canadian. You know, that big ol' land North of you guys? About 90% of us...speak ENGLISH.

That is all.

Sincerely,

Ella

  2. Really?? Oh my god!! They nearly made me do one here in Mexico, and I was like, "come on, I've studied in England for three years now, I'm pretty sure my English is 100 times better than yours stupid, ignorant, posh Mexican wannabe-cool DUDE!" Ok, so I didn't really say exactly that, but that's what I thought!

  5. The disparities between Canada and the US are so annoying....I just finally got a cell phone that works for the US and Canada *but not all features work.* We have 2 bank accounts. We pay taxes in both countries. I can't teach in Canada with just my degree from the US. I'm totally not surprised they would make you take an English test to come to school because most of them probably don't realize that Canadians speak English....haha, not all Americans are as fortunate as I am to have lived here! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR APPLICATION!
