About Me

Hi there!
I'm Ella. I'm a definite Professional Student who loves school, libraries, travelling and all things polka dot.

I was raised as an Airline-kid, a term most often used to describe children whose parents work for an airline in any capacity and therefore travel and move around a fair amount. I was born and raised in a small village outside of Frankfurt, Germany. When I was 6 years old my dad was relocated to Zurich, Switzerland where I started Grade 1 and spent a blissful 10 months of my childhood. After that it was back to Germany for another few years before the big move to Toronto, Canada in '95. I've been living there ever since - until a couple of weeks from now.

You can tell that I love school because once I graduated from High School I went right on to the next endeavor and never stopped. Right now I have a College diploma, University honors degree and Teacher's College degree behind me. Next step: Graduate School.

I love to travel and have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to see a fair amount of the world. Places like France, Japan and Romania - just to name a few.

I started blogging back in 2008 because I was going through a very rough time and I've always found that writing helps me work through problems. I never expected to join such an amazing community of bloggers and meet such amazing people throughout my journey. While the posts from the beginning have been taken down for the most part, I've kept this blog up in a fairly regular state and try to blog as often as I can.

I'm going to be starting a Master's program at NYU in New York City in September, and while I'm extremely excited about it, it also means moving to a foreign city (and country) by myself. The thought is a little daunting.

I'm going to be keeping up this blog to keep in touch with family and friends and anyone else that wants to drop by.

I think that pretty much sums me up in a nutshell, if you have any questions please contact me!

Thanks for stopping by!
